Former Soviet Union Overview
The countries of the FSU comprise the heartland of our "early days" Direct Hydrocarbon Mapping surveys as we refined our RSDD-H technology and know how. Much of Russia has been examined including European and Arctic Russia as well as the East Siberian Basin and Far East Basins. Countries such as Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldovia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgistan and Uzbekistan have likewise been surveyed.
The terrains covered in this large sweep of survey work range from high arctic tundra through classic expansive taiga and boreal forest, major river wetlands and into broad tracts of arable steppe / agricultural terrains and the arid central Asian Plains. Many of these surveys are nicely calibrated with ground truth ancillary data over anomalies and proven fields.
